ABOUT ARTHOUSE 57

One of the few lessons I enjoyed at school was art, before I had always imagined it had to be a portrait or a landscape with paint but an enthusiastic teacher showed me the many possibilities and mediums one could use when creating a piece of art that you enjoy making and expanding the imagination.

Now over 40 years later I've returned to the hobby to see where the journey takes me.

I can't say for certain where I find the most satisfaction be it a landscape in watercolour or an abstract acrylic piece, I've even dabbled in collage! Whatever I think will work on a particular day I set out to try, I cannot say every piece ends up ready for framing, far from it, many are destined for over painting or the bin!
